We want to see your awesome T-shirt design that represents kindness, consent, and looking out for each other.

·Your design must be original and designed by you

·Theme: your design should express and represent this statement: Break the silence, End the violence. Working together to raise awareness and prevent Sexual Harm in our community”

·The design can be hand drawn , or digitally designed

·Keep designs respectful - no inappropriate language or images

·The size of the design must be no larger than an A4 sheet of paper

·The competition is open to the age group of 12-18 years of age

·You must send a brief statement about the message behind your design, when you submit your design

·All prize winners of the competition will be notified prior, and will need to be at the Whakatika I tō mana event at the ASB Theatre on the 24/05/2025 to receive the prize, and to be interviewed

·Designs are to be submitted by the 28/04/2025 at 5 pm, and either emailed to manawamai@maataawaka.co.nz, or hand-delivered to Maataa Waka at 56 Main Street, Blenheim

·Submissions that do not meet all design criteria, will not be eligible for prizes

Please Note:

·The winning design will be printed on our ‘Whakatika i tō Mana’ t-shirts!

·By entering the competition, prize winners & their caregivers consent to photos taken, and/or shared on social media, as well as for promotional purposes

·All designs become the property of Maataa Waka Ki Te Tau Ihu
